The year is zooming by folks.... Fall is setting in quite nicely and the weather is getting a little chilly so we figured we would hit up Sin City to heat it up a bit. Checking in with one of the newest members of the 1200squad, we'd like to present to you: The Cornerstone Mixtape #143, November 2011: "The New Kid On The Block", mixed by DJ Bootleg Kev; representing Hot 97.5 KVEG in Las Vegas & 92.7 The Beat in Phoenix.

Hailing from Phoenix, AZ and currently residing in Las Vegas, Bootleg Kev has made himself a force to be reckoned with. He started his radio career at KKFR Power 98.3 in Phoenix in august of 2005. After an internship with the Flava Unit, he quickly made an impression on his supervisors & was hired to produce The Nuts in the Morning Show. Soon after an opportunity was presented by KWYD in Boise, ID for Kev to be a full-time on air personality. After getting #1 ratings in each period for 14 straight months; Las Vegas' premiere rhythmic radio station KVEG Hot 97.5 came calling. After accepting the weeknight position there he quickly made an impact for the station by consistently being #1 in his time slot, in a very competitive market. This past February, Kev accepted the Mix-Show Coordinator position at KVEG and is on the air Monday thru Friday 3p-7p. He also co-hosts the underground hip hop show REDY Set Radio every Monday night on KVEG and every Friday night on KNRJ (92.7 The Beat) in Phoenix.
